Q. What is Vampire Nurse's Blood Draw Service? Our Blood Draw service is a convenient way to collect medical samples in the comfort of your home or any location of your choice at a time that is convenient for you. No waiting in lines and no unnecessary travel to a lab. . An Ontario trained Registered Nurse will travel to you to collect medical samples, which will then be safely transported to a trusted laboratory for testing. The results will be sent directly to your doctor and will be available to you through the labs online portal.

Q.Is there a fee to cancel or change an appointment? There is no charge for cancellations or changes made more than 24 hours before the appointment time. The full service fee will be billed for cancellations made less than 24 hours before an appointment, or if a client is a no-show at the booked place and time. Please allow 3-5 business days for any service fee refunds to be processed and issued to your original method or payment.

Q. How do I reschedule or cancel my appointment? If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know more than 24 hours before your appointment by signing into your account "Log-in" at the top menu and going to the Appointments page to reschedule or cancel your visit(s). There is no charge for cancellations or changes made more than 24 hours before the appointment time. The full service fee will be billed for cancellations made less than 24 hours before an appointment, or if a client is a no-show at the booked place and time.

Q. How do I pay for this service? Can I be invoiced or billed? MyVisitâ„¢ accepts Visa and MasterCard on the online booking portal and can also pay with Interac E-Transfer by sending your payment to nurse@vampirenurse.ca with your invoice number in the comments area. You must pay for the service in advance or by request on the date of your service appointment.

Q. Will my insurance cover this cost? Depending on your insurance policy, your insurance company may cover the cost of this service. Please contact your insurance company to find out if you are covered. We do provide receipts for all payments.

Q. What are my safety requirements to proceed with an appointment? Your safety and the safety of our employees is of primary importance. To ensure the appointment runs as smoothly as possible, please: • Have a support person with you if you need one • Avoid smoking or vaping in the collection location 2 hours prior to the visit, nor during the visit • Keep your pets restrained or in another room, but service animals are most welcome • Ensure there is a clear and well-lit walking path to the front door and to the room you have selected for the blood draw • Let us know if you have a history of fainting when getting blood taken so that we can take appropriate precautions, and if possible, select a place where you can lie flat for the blood draw • Let us know if you or someone in the home has symptoms of illness, so we can take the appropriate precautions. You may be asked to wear a surgical mask during the visit.
